Bridging the Divide Suicide Awareness and Prevention Summit

Over 150 attendees were at the 2024 Summit to explore the challenges, complexities, growth, and hope in suicide prevention, intervention, and lived experience. The 2024 theme of Suicide: So Many Facets, No Easy Answers brought in keynote and breakout sessions that gave promising trauma-informed practices that address social environments and decrease the likelihood of suicide, assist those who struggle with suicidal thinking, and help survivors of suicide loss regain their equilibrium following a loved one’s suicide attempt or death by suicide.

Scholarships

SPCC is offering scholarships to assist with costs to attend the 2025 conference. Fill out the application here and SPCC will follow up on the application status and registration instructions.
Deadline for scholarship requests is March 28, 2025.


 

Awards

Nominations can be made by an individual or organization or a self-nomination. SPCC is looking to recognize those in our state who are making a difference in suicide prevention.

  • The SPCC Advocacy Award is a prestigious award that honors and recognizes those who work tirelessly with lawmakers to enact legislation that will help all Coloradoans reduce or prevent suicide and its impact in our state.
  • The SPCC Media Award is an esteemed award given to those in the media who are cognizant and careful when reporting about suicide, and its impact on communities in Colorado. Careful reporting can be a useful tool in preventing suicide, and in educating the public.

Award nominations for the SPCC Advocacy Award, and the SPCC Media Award are being accepted until March 17, 2025.
